Warranty Terms and Conditions

This warranty only applies to claims made by the consumer who purchased the product and by using the online warranty claim form.

WARRANTY PERIOD

Warranty period for R1 Raceboard (product) is 1 year unconditional warranty and warranty against failure of materials (delamination, softening of the hull, inserts, fin box, daggerboard, daggerboard cassette, mast track and mast track box) from date of delivery to the consumer.

MAKING A WARRANTY CLAIM

In the event that the consumer raises a warranty claim against  rVision (rVision Oy), the claim requires that the consumer has met all obligations set out in this warranty.

Warranty claim by the consumer to rVision is not valid when the damage or defect in the product already existed at the time when the Product was sold by  rVision to the consumer.

The consumer must inspect each product immediately upon delivery for any defects or damage. Apparent defects or damage discovered following inspection, should be reported to rVision using the warranty claim form. Related claims should be made within 8 days of delivery of the product.

All other defects or damage caused during use must be notified to rVision, and any claim must be made within the warranty period, and within 1 month of the date the defect or damage is discovered.

The consumer must provide to rVision the following information:

  • Product photograph and serial number.

  • A clear description of the problem, defect or damage.

  • Photograph of the defect or damage.

 

WARRANTY CLAIM

rVision reserves the rights to investigate the damage or defect in a product by inspecting and testing the product. When the consumer has a valid warranty claim, rVision may choose either to repair or replace the product or to credit the consumer’s account.

The warranty is not valid if any unauthorized repair, change or modification of any part of the product has been made by anyone other than rVision or an rVision recommended repair company.

If rVision estimates that the costs of repair would be unreasonable or uneconomical, then rVision can refund the consumer the full price paid for the product. Once rVision has refunded the consumer the full purchase price of the product, rVision becomes a full owner of the product. If the product is in the possession of the consumer, rVision may either demand return of the product at a cost to the consumer, or require destruction of the product with photographic evidence.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

The warranty does not apply to secondary products, which are the products of other brands as part of the product.

The warranty shall not apply to any damage or defect to a product caused by, or comprising, any of the following:

  • Collisions, impacts with any materials or objects, abuse, misuse, negligence or accidental damage.

  • Repairs, alterations and/or modifications to the product not carried out by rVision.

  • Transportation, including without limitation, loading, unloading, dropping and out-of-water handling.

  • Heel dents.

  • Jumps.

  • Marginal variations in color or design of a product which do not affect the suitability of the product for its intended usage.

  • Use in commercial rental centers or teaching operations.

  • Inappropriate or improper storage or handling. Including storage of the product in closed damp conditions (for example a wet board bag).

  • Exposure to temperatures over 60 and under 0 degrees Celsius, as well as excessive exposure to sunlight.

  • Forces of nature, including, without limitation, waves, shore breaks, earthquakes, or fires.

  • Continued use of a product after a product defect has already been detected.

  • Use of a larger fin than specified.

  • Improper use of air-vent during use, storage, or transport.
    NOTE: The GORE Vent should be replaced every 2 years.

  • Improper mounting or adjustment of any accessories, foot straps, fins or daggerboards.

  • Normal wear and tear.

  • Anything except manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.

 

rVision is not liable for any damage or defects on any items not manufactured by rVision that may be sold with the rVision product. Furthermore, the warranty does not cover any damage or defect caused to the product as a result of any misuse, abuse or negligence in connection with any fins, masts, booms, sails, harnesses, accessories and spare parts or the like.

rVision will not be responsible for any losses or damage incurred as a result of loss or use of the product.
